Association of Physicians of Pakistani-Descent of North America Greater Cincinnati
The Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America Greater Cincinnati (APPNA GC), is a Chapter of Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA), a national organization with over 34 regional chapters and 15 alumni associations. Founded in 2007, APPNA GC is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization that is registered in the State of Ohio and represents over 200 Pakistani physicians and dentists in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our goal is to create networking opportunities among our members and to promote excellence in healthcare, research and education. We participate in humanitarian and charity activities both in Pakistan and in the US. Please join us and support our social and charity work.
Our Vision is to further the mission of APPNA by increasing the networking opportunities among members, foster education of latest scientific development and education in the field of medicine and delivery of better health care. We also aim to encourage medical education and delivery of better health care in Pakistan and strive to educate and inform local political leaders in problems confronted by the medical community in general and Pakistani-American physicians in particular.

Together with my colleagues at the APPNA-Greater Cincinnati (GC) chapter I would like to wish all of you a happy healthy & prosperous 2026. We hope and pray for a blessed and harmonious year for our chapter and this beautiful GC community. I am truly honored to step into the role of President of APPNAGC for 2026. Thank you for your trust and support. Congratulations to our new leadership team and council members. I look forward to working together as we strengthen our community and plan meaningful initiatives for the year ahead. I graduated from Baqai University with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2004 and than went on to study dentistry in the United States, graduating in 2008 from New York University College of Dentistry. In January 2023, I had the privilege of joining APPNA as Treasurer, an experience that has been both enriching and inspiring. I am grateful to my predecessors including Dr Ahsan tariq, Dr Nadia Yaqub, Dr Khurram Bari, Dr Himmad Khattak, Dr Ali Usmani, Dr. Anwar Siddiqui, Dr. Shehzad Saeed, Dr Tahir Latif, Dr Mohammad Aslam, Dr Tahir Sajjad, and Dr Amir Izhar for their leadership & outstanding contributions to our organization. I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of Dr. Rashid Khan & Dr. Farooq Mirza who were the President/founders of our local chapter. The collective efforts of these individuals have been instrumental in fulfilling the mission of APPNA-GC.
The Executive Committee for 2025 includes myself, Dr. Tariq Ahsan, Dr Kanooz Chaudhary, Dr Nabila Baber and Dr Raffiuallah Khan. In addition we have four council members this year, Dr Zeeshan Pasha, Dr Jehangir Ansari, Dr Naseem Ahmed and Dr Mudasir farooqiui. With the assistance of my colleagues in the executive committee and executive council I look forward to working towards accomplishing the missions of our organization. Through the coming year we will carry on the tradition of arranging multiple networking events, including Educational Symposiums, supporting charitable work here and in Pakistan, and musical evenings for the Cincinnati community. We will also continue the annual tradition of participating in the health fair at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati. In order to ensure the success of these events and strive for excellence for future programs, your active participation, financial contributions & support would be appreciated.
The Executive Committee and I would like to invite you to join our efforts in achieving the goals and objectives that are part of the APPNA-GC charter. In this endeavor we would also like you to collaborate with us in coming up with innovative solutions to the challenges that lie ahead for the Pakistani-American physicians.

Become a Friend of APPNA GC 2026
Dear APPNA-GC Members,
Asalam Aleikum:
The APPNA-GC executive committee would like to announce the commencement of “Friends of APPNA-GC 2026”.

We envision that the Friends of APPNA-GC will be a core group of individuals from the Greater Cincinnati area including, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana, who would make an annual contribution to APPNA-GC to help achieve some of the goals set forth in our charter/bylaws as well as provide some financial independence and stability for the organization. APPNA-GC was established in 2007 with the intent of providing a forum for professional & social interaction along with an opportunity to participate in local and international medical relief & other charitable activities.
APPNA-GC is a non-profit 501( c ) 3 organization which depends on its financial health through generous contributions from the community at large. Friends of APPNA-GC is being established so that the organization can continue to provide quality medical educational & entertainment programs.
Friends of APPNA-GC can look forward to the following:
1. Two tickets at no charge for each entertainment event that is held exclusively through APPNA-GC
2. Preferred seating for these events
3. An annual meeting to update Friends of APPNA-GC members about activities of the organization and to get their input for developing future event planning strategies
4. Complete transparency of accounts
5. Letter from the Treasurer of APPNA-GC to acknowledge contributions for tax deduction purposes
6. For entertainment programs, we would aim to bring leading names in the entertainment industry to the Greater Cincinnati area & whenever possible arrange to have members of the entertainment group meet with members of Friends of APPNA-GC
We invite community at large to become part of the Friends of APPNA-GC core group. The contribution amount for 2026 has been set at $500; checks can be made out to APPNA-GC or online payment can be made through below link.
