Annual Report 2024

APPNA Greater Cincinnati Chapter had another successful year in accomplishing its core missions; community engagement, education and philanthropy. We partnered with Pakistan Children Heart Foundation North America (PCHFNA) and helped them raise funds to continue to strive for building world class healthcare  facility to poor and needy children with congenital heart diseases in Pakistan.  Our annual educational forum was held in April and as always was attended and appreciated by majority of community physicians ( so far the highest attendance). Several pharmaceutical companies supported and displayed at the event. The topics included Complications of  sleep apnea, new weight loss medications, and Artificial intelligence in medicine; all pressing issues of today’s medicine. This year we had the by invitation only, second  APPNA GC Picnic to appreciate our lifetime members and Friends of APPNA GC. Pakistani Mangoes and kite flying were the highlight of this picnic. During our annual dinner and Gala in October, we  again invited Indus Hospital and Healthcare Network and helped them raise funds to free cancer care to children with cancer throughout Pakistan (cost around 6000/ child to cover treatment of one child). Our annual gala was well attended and in addition to great food, it featured performances from Nauman Ijaz. Our event concluded with a refreshing and entertaining concert by Ayaz Farid Qawaals. Twenty five percent of the proceeds from Gala ticket sales will be again donated to help the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East.
